FAQ'S
1) Are all Barongs the same?
For most, Barongs are indistinguishable from one to another. But Barongs as with most products differ in quality and durability. All the products supplied by Barong Australia are made from the finest jusi and pina material and made by one of the biggest and most trusted Barong makers in Philippines. We also guarantee that our products are of import quality and made to last.
2) Is it cheaper to buy Barong in Philippines than from Barong Australia?
There are definitely cheaper Barongs from Manila especially from popular flea markets such as Tutuban and Divisoria. Again quality is a big issue as these places sell Barongs that are cheaper but also much lesser in quality. At Barong Australia, we make sure our products are distinguished by quality, class, style and durability. Our local supplier uses only ‘A’ class jusi fabrics that does not break easily and apply colours that lasts. The materials used such as threads are of high quality, even the beads are imported from Japan as they last and look much better. The embroideries are fully designed and made by our supplier. Hand paintings are done by local Filipino artists. Unfortunately we can not disclose specifics about our supplier except that they are from Laguna province, the leading and the original Barong makers in the country.
3) How much better are the Barong Australia products?
We are distinguished from other companies by three main things. Firstly, our supplier is arguably the best in the Philippines. Secondly, we have our own Australian designer making exclusive designs only for Barong Australia. Last, we concentrate in using only the traditional Barong fabrics, the Jusi and Pina, hand painted and hand embroidered by Philippine’s local artists, which make what really is Barong.
4) What do we expect from Barong Australia?
Expect to see amazingly modern and wearable Barongs for men, women, cool and elegant accessories we also have our new range “Barong Kids” for children. Expect to get quality Barongs in style that are never seen before while still offering traditional styles.
5) I like to purchase a Barong but I'm not sure of my size.
All of our products are Australian Standard sizes. Simplest way to check is by measuring yourself by a tape measure and compare your size on our size chart. (Please click SIZE link)
6) How about custom made Barongs?
Just go to the order link and follow instructions. Custom made Barongs may take up to twelve weeks to deliver. And we are happy to assist you on any designs, colour and sizes you may require. We do need a %50 deposit before we start making your barong orders, and the next %50 balance before the delivery.
7) How can I order online?
To order, fill up an order form by clicking ORDER link. You can then return it by fax, e-mail (print and scan form) or post, or otherwise by phone or just send us an e-mail with the information needed.
Unfortunately we do not have an online payment system but we do accept Visa & Mastercard by filling up our credit card payment form on order link on the main page. We also accept cash or direct deposit to our nominated bank account. Please make sure that you do not send your credit card details via e-mail. We will give you a call and advise your credit card details.8) Where and how long will it take for it to be delivered? Do you deliver in countries outside Australia?
Around 10 to 14 days Australia wide. Yes, we can organise purchases from outside the country to be delivered but this could take a little longer.
9) What is your return/refund policy?
We gladly exchange (14 days) but we DO NOT give refunds on goods. NO CREDIT ON STOCK UNLESS UNUSED AND IN ORIGINAL PACKAGING. No exchange on Sale items/Special orders (goods not held in stock). If you are to return an item, please make sure to send it registered/insured. We do use Australia post and if parcel arrived with damage by courier please send it back with the original post satchel. Conditions apply.
10) Where is your shop? Warehouse? Can I see your samples?
We do not have showroom or a shop! This is why we can offer the barongs in very competetive prices as we do everything via the internet. We do not meet with clients ALL transactions/ordering are done either by email or phone.
